Luckenbach Road Whiskey Luckenbach Road Whiskey A descendant of one of Gillespie County’s early settlers and founder of the Buckhorn Saloon has joined the area’s spirits scene. Luckenbach Road Whiskey Distillery brings a sophisticated vision and a 28,000-squarefoot facility to the county, after founder Stewart Skloss found success with his Pura Vida Tequila line in the liquor industry. Luckenbach Road Whiskey founders and distillers have worked with the Texas A&M University Department of Soil and Crop Sciences to maximize and develop crops specific to this region’s climate and growing conditions. An assortment of different corn grains, along with wheat, barley and rye are used in the distillery’s recipes.

Fredericksburg Art Guild Fredericksburg Art Guild The Fredericksburg Art Guild is a nonprofit organization with a mission to educate, encourage, promote and cultivate the creation of fine arts throughout the Texas Hill Country. Many local artists are members of the guild. Each month, Fredericksburg Art Guild features an Artist of the Month. The gallery also features an All-Member Show during the year. Iron Goat Distillery Iron Goat Distillery Iron Goat Distillery offers a variety of rums that can be found at local bars and liquor stores in the Hill Country. Opened in the fall of 2016, the first Iron Goat product was released in 2017. Iron Goat Distillery is a veteran-owned and family-run business with rum that was aged for six months to a year in Garrison Brothers barrels. Three rums are offered from the distillery. Iron Goat also offers two spirits, the Agave Spirit and Honey Spirit are made alongside the rums in the distillery. Its Amber Rum won a silver medal at the 2020 American Distilling Institute spirits competition. It has since then won six more medals for their spirits. The John Barleycorn Spirit Writers Awards, Bartenders Spirit Awards and the National Honey Board Spirit Competition. Products can be purchased locally at Judy’s Liquors, or regionally at Total Wines, Twin Liquors and some Spec’s. Their first tasting room will be located in the new Grand Central at Milam Market development coming soon. The tasting room will sell drinks, bottles and promotional things.
